The Aputure Delta Pro is a 3,600Wh Battery for Mobile Film Production
Aputure has announced the Delta Pro, a 3,600Wh battery pack that the company bills it as the “ultimate” portable power solution for filmmakers.
The Delta Pro is designed for use in outdoor productions that might not have access to AC power, during longer film productions that might require more energy to meet certain demands, or it can act as a backup power supply in case of a power outage.
The rolling battery features a massive 3,600Wh battery capacity that can power lights for a long period of time For example, Aputure says it can power its LS 1200d Pro and LS 600d Pro lights simultaneously at full brightness for one and a half hours, or a LS 1200d Pro for over two hours. Filmmakers can also power five LS 600d Pros simultaneously via the 30A AC outlet.
“For longer run times, the Delta Pro’s expandable capacity provides additional battery flexibility to meet the power demands on any set environment,” the company says.
“Utilizing a long-lasting Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, the Delta Pro has an impressive lifespan of up to 10 years, capable of running 3,500 cycles to 80% of original capacity, or 6,500 cycles to 50% capacity.”
The Delta Pro features 15 output methods and can deliver 3,600W of AC power output. It has two USB-A, two USB-A Fast Charge, two USB-C (100W), and five AC outlets that Aputure says can grant the ability to power multiple high-wattage fixtures in the field.
The battery pack uses EcoFlow’s X-Stream charging technology and smart battery management system that Aputure says allows the Delta Pro to have one of the fastest AC recharging rates on the market and can go from empty to full in 2.7 hours from a standard AC wall outlet. It is also equipped with solar, car, and EV charging capabilities.
The Delta Pro displays real-time energy information via a screen above its USB ports, which Aputure says shows energy analysis, battery status information. It has 23 total indicators from remaining charge to discharge times and battery percentage to input and output power wattages. The battery can also be monitored via the EcoFlow app.
The battery features a luggage-style design that includes wheels and a handle to make it easy to transport in the field.
