Photographer Captures Spectacular GoPro Footage While Swimming with Jellyfish

Consider this your GoPro video break for the week. So sit back, relax, put on the head phones and make sure the video is playing in HD, because this underwater footage shot by photographer Nana Trongratanawong is a real stunner.

Originally filmed a year ago, the video has been given new life by GoPro, who decided to pick it up, do some color grading and other edits, and repost it on their own YouTube channel where it’s gotten over 150,000 views in the last 2 days.

The original footage isn’t quite so vibrant, but it’s gorgeous and peaceful nonetheless:

According to the description, Trongratanawong filmed this at Jellyfish Lake in Palau, Ongeim’l Tketau. Here’s how she describes the experience:

Snorkeling with these golden jellyfish was fun but freediving and drifting among them was even more special. I felt free. It’s serene. These guys are harmless but very fragile so please be gentle and watch your fins-kick while being in their home. Oh.. look out for those little ones! They’re super cute!

Check out both videos above to get an inkling of that freedom that Trongratanawong felt freediving with these ethereal creatures. Then, when you’re done, check out her website to browse through more of her work.
