Senior Portrait Tip- More is not always better

“More is not always better”

blondbullseyesmall Senior Portrait Tip More is not always better

Applying too much conditioner on your hair is wasteful and sending good money down the drain. It is a common misconception that when applying conditioner to your hair it should be oozing and dripping off the ends. Conditioner should be applied starting at the ends and working your way up to the crown of your head. If your hair has a tendency to get oily or is fine, skip the roots and pamper the ends. You should apply just enough conditioner that your hands run smoothly through your hair. If the ends soak up the conditioner it is okay to add a little more. Don’t “lather” the conditioner through your hair but rather run your fingers or a wide-tooth comb in a downward motion to distribute. Conditioner is designed first and foremost to detangle the hair and “lathering” the hair with conditioner will not distribute the product evenly, can cause tangling and leave a residue that weighs the hair down. If you follow these guidelines and your hair still feels dry or oily than chances are you are using the wrong product. From the heart of a mom- What her experience was…

My Beautiful MP Senior Model, My Daughtersenior portrait lowell michigan From the heart of a mom What her experience was...

I am looking to the future and starting to really “get” that my daughter is growing up and graduating and growing into a young lady and I wanted some lasting memories. My daughter Mikhayla is very responsible, she takes her studies very serious, she has a wonderful group of friends who while may not be the most popular in school and are not cheerleaders they will be a force to be reckoned with in our futures.

My daughter is a story-teller, a video designer and an artist so when I scheduled her senior model shoot I thought it would be fun to have some girl time with my daughter, and it was just that. I saw my daughter as she might be as an adult, I think it surprised her also. For those of you who know Mikhayla(Miki) you know she is not into make-up and all the girlie stuff and cares way more about her art than fashion so I thought this would be great experience for her to see the absolute beauty she is. It was that and much, much more. My good friend Amy Parrish who has done my hair for years went with us to do hair and make-up changes for all the different outfit and make-up changes for all the different poses which took a lot of the pressure off of us and we just had fun. To watch Mikhayla start out in the traditional classic poses was great but as we changed outfits and hairstyles you started to see this beautiful young woman, this gorgeous child of God emerge. She started to become more comfortable and really play around with looks and poses with encouragement from Brandon (he was awesome). Her final shots were of a confident ready for the future: whatever that may bring Lowell Red Arrow Senior! I could barely stop smiling and crying. Thank you so much Brandon, this was an experience that will not be forgotten and the pictures turned out beautiful.
