If you did not have the opportunity to attend this event you missed out at one of the most elegant bridal shows to ever be hosted in the Grand Rapids Area.  With a Flute of Sparkling Juice in the hands of every guest and a warm welcome from the Lowell Chamber of Commerce our brides started the show on the right foot.  It was nice to see that in the first 15 minutes we had more brides than we had in 2007 for the entire show.  The Grand Volute is the perfect venue for a Bridal Show of its size.  We were happy to meet brides from across the country.  We had the pleasure of welcoming a number of new clients to the Modern Photographics family!

Wow, we’re gearing up for a fun filled weekend.  We hope that you’ll be joining us for all the festivities.

Friday, October 31st, Halloween, from 12:00 until 6:00, we’ll be taking pictures of all the gremlins, princesses, pirates, fairies, and any other little dressed up person that comes in.  These pictures are *FREE* although we will be taking donations for Flat River Outreach Ministries.  Parents MUST accompany children.

Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00 until 4:00 at the Grand Volute Ballrooms is the Second Annual Lowell Bridal Show.  We have 37 businesses that will be joining us there to help with your wedding planning needs.  Register online and be entered to win a $50 gas card.  Come to the show and be entered to win OVER $5000 worth of door prized from the businesses involved. Amanda and Brian’s wedding couldn’t be more perfect.  She spent the morning getting ready at Design One Salon in Cascade.  Design One did a fabulous job on Amanda’s hair and makeup.  After a quick stop at the Third Reformed Church on Michigan Avenue to get ready Amanda and Brian traveled separately to the Blue Bridge to meet for the first time on their wedding day.

Amanda and Brian choose a wonderful location to meet each other on their wedding day.  This happens to be the bridge that Brian proposed to Amanda on.  Here, right before seeing each other, they were able to pose for a quick portrait, both in the same picture, but not yet seeing each other.

The flowers were designed by Modern Day Floral.  They were incredible!

We stopped of at Aquinas College and a train yard for a couple of photographs before ending up at the Grand Volute Ballrooms for their reception.  Like every event I have ever attended the Grand Volute went above and beyond to make Amanda and Brian’s event perfect.  Great job to the staff at the Grand Volute.
John rocked the house for Rick Reuther’s Music Host Productions and kept the dance floor hopping!

Thanks also to Affordable Limousine.  Always on time with great service and clean limos.

Congrats to you two.  May God Bless your marriage for many years to come.

This beautiful couple was Married in the newly finished outdoor ceremony site on the Grand Volute Ballroom property. Then they enjoyed an incredible luncheon inside the Grand Volute with 50 of their closest friends and relatives.

Grand Volute Ballrooms is a place I think I am going to call home.  If Kent would just move the table out of the board room I would have plenty of room to stretch out.

This weekend we hung out with this incredible couple at the Grand Volute.  Their wedding was one of the first to be held in the new outdoor ceremony area.  This couple decorated very well to make the outdoor ceremony unique for them.  The party moved inside where Complete Music rocked the house!  Thanks Jason and Kristina for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your wedding.

It happened, our first wedding at the Grand Volute Ballroom. It could not have gone better. This awesome couple was married in front of the Grand Staircase, and then they enjoyed a great lunch in the Ballroom. After lunch we enjoyed a great time in downtown Lowell, along the tracks, at the River Walk Festival, and even took a paddle boat ride with the entire party… Enjoy!
