Family Portrait Month
Thank you to all those who helped us with Family Portrait Month. With your help our studio was able to help. We didn’t raise $8100 to be the top studio, but we were one of 24 studio’s who donated over $500.
We couldn’t have done it without you. I have included what I received from the Charity to help you understand just how much it means to them…..
Well the donations have been tallied and I are delighted to tell you that with your support, PPA Charities will be giving a donation of $52,000 to Operation Smile this year! This is our largest donation ever and a tribute to all participants in Family Portrait Month. Last year was $40,000 and two years ago we were only at $12,500, the future looks very bright.
This year we had 24 of you who contributed $500 or more, you are all directly responsible for the amazing growth of this program that benefits children all over the world. Just think about it, $52,000 will help 216 children who otherwise may have had to endure a life of hardship due to their cleft palettes and facial deformities. You all should be very proud.
This year, our largest donor was Terry Farmer of Springfield, Illinois. Terry and his studio raised $8100 from their clients and from local dentists who were enlisted for their support. We plan on featuring this story in our March newsletter to give you all an idea of how partnering can be an effective way to not only raise additional money, but partner with fellow professionals in your area. Way to go Terry! We will be working with Terry to arrange a mission trip with Operation Smile to see first hand what we are helping with.
So again, on behalf of the PPA Charities Board of Trustees and our profession, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you are all truly making a difference.
