Hurdling Lowell Michigan is this track star’s objective. Heather had her hair and makeup done by Amy Parrish of A K Salon. Like every other session Amy did an incredible job high lighting the best of Heather’s beautiful features. Her eyes sparkle as she smiles or is serious. It is very exciting for me as a photographer to see a girl like Heather shine.

Don’t Fade Away: Does Color Extending Shampoo really work and why do I need to use it? Color Extend Shampoos protect hair to extend the life and vibrancy of haircolor. Make sure the product you use is formulated with Anti-Fade properties as well as UV filters. UV filters help lock in color and lock out radicals from the environment (radicals are things like mineral-rich water, frequent washing with harsh shampoo, chorine and environmental pollutants). Color-treated hair is vulnerable and damage can cause color fade, and hair to be dry, and look dull. Exposure to damaging UV rays also contributes to color fading and damaged hair shafts. Dry, damaged, porous hair can resist color, creating uneven results and a very dissatisfying color experience. Specialty shampoos can cost a little more but why not protect the investment you made in a color service. Some hair care product lines also carry a companion conditioner for color treated hair specially formulated to work together with the shampoo or by itself. For a personalized shampoo and conditioner prescription contact Amy at A K Parrish Salon (akparrish@yahoo.com).

Video Game Guy Senior Portraits – Lowell, Michigan
Cameron is the Video Game Kid. I have had the pleasure of knowing his mom and dad for a few years now, and was blessed to photograph Cameron. Parents are always worried when they come in about their boys. They don’t like to have their photo taken. He is shy. Cameron was like everyone of these guys when he arrived. He started out reserved and camera shy, but within minutes was lively and having fun. Smiles come easy when the guys are having fun and not trapped in the studio. Cameron you rocked your session!

Ashley was a riot from the minute she walked into the door. Personality that made me smile before one piece of hair or a ounce of make up could be applied. The joy she showed and the fun she was having made the session fly by. As she changed outfits, freshened up her makeup, she only got more happy and joyous. Amy Parrish was the master of the hair and makeup during this session. Ashley’s true beauty was brought out through her hair and makeup.

This young family is the last family I ever photographed with these train tracks. Recently the tracks were removed to make a Rails to Trails project. Its a great shot to be the last family photographed there. I am excited to see these beutiful babies turn one. Twins were very fun to photograph. I started photographing them before they were ever born. We started with Maternity and birth. They returned every month to be photographed by us. I am going to miss them.

Senior Portraits Lowell, Michigan. Playing in the rain. This young lady came to us because we photographed her friend Miki. We started the day off very simply and by the end she was getting into the session. Her hair and make-up was beautifully done by Amy Parrish. Amy was able to bring out her eyes and make sure her hair stayed in place.

Senior Portraits Lowell Michigan – Miki is a familier face on our blog. She was one of our first senior models. This session was more about her. We started by using a cool old truck that is her grand mothers. Then moved back to the studio for more traditional shots before ending up in the river. It was another fun session. Hair and Make up were provided by Amy Parrish.
