A New Family Portrait

The Hippie Dude, Dr. Mulnix, and Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie.

Laura and Dorothy! These costumes were made by Gma Barb of Barb’s Creations. She not only makes awesome Halloween Costumes, but she also makes custom wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and pretty much anything else that you can imagine up.

Here’s just a sampling of the fun we had tonight. There were princesses, princes, giraffes, fairies, puppies, kittens, flowers, and many, many more.

Halloween

Tomorrow is Halloween, don’t forget to bring your little prince or princess to Modern anytime between 10 am and 8 pm to have their portrait taken. Each child will receive a FREE 4×6 portrait (and candy of course).

Tomorrow also ends ‘Family Portrait Month.’ Donations to Operation Smile will be accepted all day as we raise as much as we can for the PPA Charity. So far we/you have raised over $500.00! What an awesome way to give back.

So, we’ll see you tomorrow, have a Happy and Safe Halloween, and don’t eat too much candy!

(I can’t wait to find out what Brandon will dress up as. . . I think I’ve talked him into dressing up this year:)

Trash the Dress Chicago Style!

What is Trash the Dress?
Many of our clients have grasp the idea but, it means different things to each. Back in August we went back to the beach with Joel and Danielle and had a great time in the water.
This weekend we had the chance to photograph Todd and Leslie. Their wedding took place June, and everything turned out beautiful. Their idea of Trash the Dress was to get dressed up and hit the city they call home.

It turned out to be a great weekend. We spent about 4 hours with Todd and Leslie, starting at the beach and ending up on the south side of Chicago. We had so much fun and the photos will hopefully capture just how cool Chicago is. Here is a sneak peak of my favorite image.

This little gal is so cute and her clothes are awesome. She and her sister are trying out to be the 2007 Gooma Girls. I may be biased, but I think they are just right for the job. Her sister will be in on Friday for her portraits, I’m sure I’ll get some of those on the blog ASAP.

20th Anniversary

We love to have the opportunity to photograph anniversary pictures! Twenty years together really says something! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. B. on making it 20 years. Traditionally the gift would be something from China, but the Modern gift would be Platinum. May God bless you with at least twenty more years together. Happy Anniversary!
