Getting Closer

Posted by emulnix

Tonight, Brandon and I had some time to clean up the front ‘waiting’ area at the studio and actually hang the pictures back up. It was amazing to see it so close to being finished and put together.

As I was driving home I couldn’t help but think about how wonderful God has been to us. Without him we’d have nothing. And it just amazes me and puts me at awe to look at what he created for us. The beauty of a Bride and Groom on their day, just how much love they have for each other, and how it radiates from their face. Or a newborn baby and how they are so precious and intricately made. To children and how we tend to look at things in a different perspective when we are around them. It almost brought me to tears on my drive home thinking about how extremely blessed we have been. Thank you God.

Dana and Andrew

Posted by bmulnix
Congratulations to Andrew and Dana. I was proud to photograph their wedding. It is an honor to be trusted enough to photograph a fellow photographers wedding. Dana is a portrait photographer who trusted me with her most important day. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. It was just enough overcast when I needed it.

This last image is completely straight out of the camera. I loved the lighting in this little hallway.

Here are some of our first images taken in the new studio. Nicole was a great sport since we were supposed to go to Holland but the weather was not at all worth the travel.

Emily did a great job on our grunge wall.
This is why we had the windows put in.

Below is my favorite

We took about 140 images, and I was a kid in a candy store. The walls photograph great. Our interior designer picked the greatest colors. I love my new place!

Moved in and loving it!

Posted by bmulnix

Sunday was move in day officially, but we cheated and moved into the projection room on Thursday just an hour before our first wedding consultation. Talk about a whole new Modern Photographics. Tuesday was my first day in the office and boy was it productive. I was able to accomplish more in the first 3 hours of the day than I had accomplished in the two weeks prior to the move in. It is so nice to have my riverside window office to enjoy. While I was on the phone to Roger, I was looking out and saw a Fox chasing some ducks around. No more distracting cars driving by….

God has blessed us so much in the last 10 months. From before we took over to now, so many doors have either been opened or slammed shut. No middle ground. Sure we have had our ups and downs, but God has been there throughout. A great example is our upcoming conference. I have been waiting to get into this conference since I first heard of its existence. Our registration to this May conference came only after one of my biggest disappointments. I was left hanging on a destination wedding. As soon as I “gave up on the couple” I received an email for Guerrilla Management. They decided to put on a Spring class. Wow it just so happened to be the same week as the wedding……

God is so good……

If you happen to stop by our studio,

Almost Done!

Posted by emulnix

We have exciting news. . . We are almost done with the remodel. So close that Brandon moved the couch over yesterday and he took some pictures down off the wall in our temporary office (i.e. the white room). We are so glad to be in the final stretch, we’ve been ready for this for quite a while and are extremely antsy for our own space with our own view. I believe the plan is to finish the move this weekend and be open for business on the other side starting Monday. We are going to have an official open house, but feel free to stop by and see the new space anytime.

In other news, please continue to pray for Josh Buck. He will be leaving Mary Free Bed today and going home, it’s a very scary thing for both him and Shelly. Be sure to keep updated on them by reading their Blog.

Prayers Going Up

Posted by emulnix

Our prayers are with the family and friends of the unrealistic events surrounding Virginia Tech shootings. We pray that, through this awful crisis, God would be glorified.

Spring Sports

Posted by bmulnix
Well another season of Spring Sports kicked off today in the little Village of Saranac. My home town!
We managed to miss all the rain and get some great photos of the teams and individual athletes. Above is an artistic team photo for the varsity softball team. We are currently working on their poster to be displayed in the local businesses. I will not let the cat of the bag on what it looks like, but here is a recent Lowell Softball poster I was able to create before they left on spring break.

Josh & Jennifer

Posted by bmulnix
Congratulations to Josh and Jennifer. They were married today at St. Jude’s church in Grand Rapids, and celebrated at the Lincoln Country Club in Walker. They are both actors so it was great to see the many personalities that “played” throughout the day.

The rest of their photographs will be available in about two weeks after they get back from Ireland. I am so jealous when it comes to the honeymoons some of our clients get to experience…. any one need a photographer to go with them?
